Ennis National School

O’Herlihy Access Consultancy (OHAC) was engaged by the Department of Education and Skills to prepare the Disability Access Certificate Application for Ennis National School in early 2011.

This school is the first of its design in Ireland and will be used by the Department of Education and Science as a model for future large schools.

OHAC’s role included carrying out a number of reviews of the proposed designs to ensure compliance with Part M regulations, and provision of initial report with suggested changes to the drawings as required. It also included the preparation of a Disability Access Certificate Application in line with best practice standards including BS8300:2009.
