Coombe Women and Infant’s University Hospital
In 2011, O’Herlihy Access Consultancy (OHAC) prepared a Disability Access Certificate and Revised Disability Access Certificate for the proposed Delivery Suite upgrade and new Integrated Emergency Obstetric Theatre Facility at Coombe Women and Infant’s University Hospital.
The proposed Operating Theatre and Labour Delivery Suites development is divided into two areas:
- The construction of a new build Emergency Obstetric Theatre and support rooms, Isolation Labour Delivery Room, two High Dependency Rooms with support areas and circulation links to the existing building; and
- The refurbishment of the existing Labour Delivery Rooms to provide six Single Labour Delivery Suites and an additional Bariatric Enabled Suite.
O’Herlihy Access Consultancy was involved in the review of the proposed designs, liaison with design team and the preparation of Disability Access Certificate applications and Revised Disability Access Certificate applications.
