Schools Bundle 2
Schools Bundle 2 consisted of the provision of six new schools which provide places for over 4,700 pupils and make up the second bundle of Public Private Partnership (PPP) schools projects to be delivered under the Department of Education and Skills’ PPP Programme.
As access consultants, OHAC ensured all of the schools were fully accessible in accordance with the brief set out by the NDFA. As part of the project our duties included:
- Attendance at design team meetings;
- Preparation of Disability Access Certificate Applications in line with best practice standards including BS8300:2009;
- Preparation of Revised Disability Access Certificate Applications following significant revisions in the design of a number of schools; and
- Provision of access consultancy services and advice on an on-going basis.
