Demystifying Disability in the Workplace

The Association for Higher Education Access and Disability (AHEAD) in collaboration with WAM (Willing, Able Mentoring) have recently launched guidelines entitled ‘Demystifying Disability in the Workplace’ which aim to provide practical guidelines for managers and supervisors on tackling everyday issues that arise in the recruitment and management of people with disabilities.

The guidelines use real life experiences taken from both the employer and employee and include very useful information sheets on both mental health and physical disabilities. The guidelines also cover questions that are consistently raised by employers; needs assessment in the workplace and disability management.
