24 Hour Universal Design Challenge

TrinityHaus, in collaboration with the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design, Queen’s University Belfast, PLACE (The Architecture and Built Environment Centre for Northern Ireland) and the Royal College of Art Helen Hamlyn Centre, will be hosting a 24 Hour Universal Design Challenge as part of IDI Design Week 2009 on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th November 2009.

The theme of the event will be Universal Design of the Built Environment – the exact brief of the challenge will be provided at the event itself.  The 24 Hour Universal Design Challenge will invite design professionals in Ireland, involving a range of disciplines, to take part on teams of approximately 8 people. The teams will be selected to ensure a range of disciplines and skill sets are covered, and will provide designers with the opportunity to work with peers involving a range of disciplines.

Further information will be posted in the coming months on the TrinityHaus website at www.trinityhaus.tcd.ie. Queries can be sent to the Challenge email address at [email protected].
