Good Practice Guidelines on Access of Streetscapes

The Local Government Management Services Board (LGMSB) guidelines entitled “Good Practice Guidelines on Access of Streetscapes” were launched back in March 2009. They seek to compliment Chapter 13 of the DTO “Traffic Management Guidelines” and set out access measures in line with current legislation and standards and support local authority staff in meeting their access goals. The guidelines provide standard details for the design and layout of controlled and uncontrolled crossing and include details on staggered junctions. To obtain a copy of the guidelines please contact your local authority access officer or contact O’Herlihy Access Consultancy for further details (01-4151285 or [email protected])
