International Consultancy
OHAC have been actively involved in national and international accessibility consultancy since the company was set up back in 2007 and have a track record of developing client relationships and integrating into teams or organisations rather than imposing ‘Accessibility’ and ‘Design for All’ from the outside.
OHAC international Consultancy provides accessibility and Universal Design advice and support relating to tourism, housing, transportation, the built environment, services, products and information, communication and technology. OHAC also assist organisations in the design, development and delivery of accessibility training.
Eoin O’Herlihy Managing Director of OHAC is the Irish representative and Secretary on the Board of the Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environments (GAATES) – a leading international not-for-profit organisation that seeks to promote accessibility in both electronic and communication technologies and the built environment. Eoin is also a member of ANEC’s Design For All Working Group. ANEC is the European consumer voice in standardisation, is an organisation promoting and defending consumer interests in the processes of standardization and certification, and in legislation related to standardization and certification.
Eoin regularly speaks at national and international conferences on accessibility and Universal Design. He has also written numerous articles and published papers on accessibility which have been internationally published . The most recent example was an article for the Centre for Accessible Environments in the UK entitled “Thinking beyond disability access - Access audits, designing buildings and making services accessible”.
