Listen up! Contacta talks hearing Enhancement Systems with OHAC
As part of our internal CPD series and ongoing strive to be industry leading Access Consultants our teams took part in a session with Contacta – a leading designer and manufacturer of assistive technology solutions that create inclusive environments – discussing Hearing Enhancement Systems (HES).
Audial impairment is often considered an easily forgotten, overlooked disability partially due to it being a hidden disability and a stigma that appears to surround it even though it effects a large portion of the population – 1 in 5 people in the UK live with hearing loss greater than 25 dBHL – often occurring naturally as we age.
There are a wide variety of systems that can be used which are suitable in different scenarios within the built environment.
