By Mark Pader

Biometric recognition specialist Vision-Box has recently introduced Seamless Kiosk, a flexible and customisable passenger processing platform which aims to make travel experiences accessible for all. This is done by increasing the passenger handling process speed through the use of biometric and biographic capturing.

The new self-service kiosk includes an audible and highly tactile assistive interface to assist users with impaired vision, inability to read, limited reach or limited dexterity. The kiosk also includes braille signs and a smart passenger guide system to allow users to easily navigate the screen.

Seamless Kiosk uses a full-frontal facial recognition camera which includes automatic height and illumination adjustments to allow for an accurate capture process. The key technological features of the new kiosk include:

The new kiosk complies with disability legislation in Europe, US and Canada and can be deployed to various markets including identity management, travel & tourism, and border control.
