Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport appoint five new Directors with direct personal experience of disability to Public Transport boards

Accessible counter, grab rails on bus and accessible seating.The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross TD, recently announced (3rd August 2018) that he has appointed five new directors to public transport boards in Ireland. The Directors have been appointed to Bus Éireann, Irish Rail, Dublin Bus, the National Transport Authority and CIE. 

Each of the newly appointed directors brings with them not only direct personal experience of the challenges facing people with disability in accessing public transport, but also a range of professional skills and management experience that qualify them to contribute to the improvement of transport services for all users.
