Microsoft produces Inclusive Design guidelines as a simple starting point for meaningful change.
As part of the guidelines Microsoft has prepared a toolkit which aims to address three key principles:
- Recognizing exclusion – Is about designing for everyone.
- Learning from diversity – It’s about putting people at the centre from the very start of the design process and adapting to the diverse needs of the end user.
- Solving for one, extending to many – It is about solving a problem for one person that will benefit all members of society.
