Introduction to Accessible Service Delivery - One Day Course
About the Programme
This course equips learners new to the area of disability with an overview of the provisions of the Disability Act 2005 and other equality legislation. Participants will acquire the knowledge required to facilitate and develop an appropriate response to the Act e.g. Disability Action Plan.
Aim
The aim of this workshop is to ensure that all access officers and/or senior managers develop an effective accessibility strategy for their organisation.

Key Outcomes
Upon completion of this programme, participants will:
- Appreciate the requirements of relevant equality and disability legislation;
- Develop an understanding of the role of the individual and organisation in delivering on those requirements;

- Learn how to assess accessibility and the steps to improve the overall accessibility of your organisation.
