Zandalee joined OHAC in 2020 having developed a strong interest in accessibility in her home country of South Africa, where she worked as a Structural Engineer.

She graduated from Stellenbosch University, in South Africa, with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Zandalee is the Technical Lead for the Design Team, while also providing access advisory services to a diverse range of clients. She is highly experienced in all aspects of accessible design including: Design project reviews and conducting Universal Design (UD) workshops with design teams to develop project accessibility briefs, preparing of Disability Access Certificate (DAC) applications and their associated compliance reports, preparing Housing Accommodation Needs Reports for clients with disabilities to determine the accessibility of their existing accommodation and their particular accommodation needs, proposing practical modifications and solutions to meet their individual needs, carrying out access audits of existing buildings and their environs and preparing associated reports and summary documents, as well as advising clients on future actions in order to achieve a higher level of accessibility. She has experience of many sectors including large construction projects, multinational headquarters, small community facilities, tourism and heritage sites.

Zandalee is a Member of Engineers Ireland and MIEI, and a Professional Member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).
