Senior Accessibility Consultant

Chantelle Smith is a Senior Accessibility Consultant with more than 16 years’ experience in accessibility, disability inclusion, mobility, and Universal Design. Her work focuses on transforming the way people experience connecting with the world through mobility and inclusive environments.  

Before joining OHAC, Chantelle held senior accessibility roles where she led accessibility consultancy programmes and inclusive mobility initiatives in Ireland and Australia. Her experience includes advising on accessible infrastructure, inclusive wayfinding, public transport accessibility, and Universal Design integration across both public and commercial projects.  

A Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS), Chantelle combines technical accessibility expertise with a strong understanding of navigation within the built environment.  Chantelle has completed specialist training in accessibility, Universal Design, human-centred design, and leadership development, and has contributed to national and international accessibility initiatives through advisory and governance roles.  

Chantelle is recognised for leading transformative accessibility initiatives and for her strategic, solutions-focused approach, empowering organisations to strengthen their accessibility capability, build confidence in delivering inclusive services, and achieve tangible outcomes for diverse communities and users.
