An employer’s guide to implementing inclusive health and safety practices for employees with disabilities

The Health and Safety Authority guide ‘to implementing inclusive health and safety practices for employees with disabilities’ aims to addresses aspects of work-related safety, occupational health and facilities management and welfare as they pertain to workplace health and safety for employees with disabilities.The guidelines highlight that workplace health and safety and accessibility should be covered in all stages of employment including the initial selection and induction processes.

The practical guidelines cover areas such as accommodating disability in the workplace; inclusive health and safety procedures and safe evacuation of employees with disabilities. There are also a number of practical case studies highlighting good practice examples of how to address the needs of all employees.
