Access consultancy services as part of a number of Public Private Partnership projects. Provision of support to Design Teams and Technical Advisors for a number of educational buildings as part of PPP Schools Bundle 4.
Schools Bundle 4 provided of four new schools which provide places for over 2,000 pupils. As Access Consultants, O’Herlihy Access Consultancy (OHAC) ensured all schools were fully accessible in accordance with the National Development Finance Agency brief. As part of the project, OHAC’s duties included:
- Attendance at design team meetings;
- Preparation of Disability Access Certificate applications in line with best practice standards including BS8300:2009;
- Preparation of Revised Disability Access Certificate applications for a number of the schools following signigicant revisions in the design of a number of schools; and
- Provision of access consultancy services and advice on an on-going basis.
- On-site inspections during construction.
- Access advice throughout the construction process.
- Part M Ancillary Certifier.
