Department of Justice and Equality Disability Awarness Raising Grant Scheme 2016

The National Disability Authority (NDA) on behalf of the Department of Justice and Equality is calling for applications for funding under the Department’s Disability Awareness Raising Grant Scheme 2016 (The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 14:00 on Thursday, 11 August 2016).

The aim of the scheme is to support the promotion of positive attitudes towards persons with disabilities. The Department in conjunction with the NDA are now inviting applications from organisations with proposals that raise awareness of disability and that demonstrate effective action to improve attitudes towards persons with disabilities. Grant awards will range from €5,000 to a maximum of €40,000 per project.

In particular they are looking for projects that raise awareness and promote positive attitudes to persons with disabilities in general but particularly in the areas of delivering mainstream services and information; community activities; employment; sporting activities; social activities; media; education and local business.
